ETHAN LANGENAU

Brooklyn-born and Philadelphia-raised, Ethan Langenau made himself an established cinematographer through his studies at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Now based out of New York, he continues to work across numerous narrative, commercial, and documentary projects. His work evolves with each production he shoots. Purposefully exploring different styles that fit each of the narratives' needs.
What Ode Statine means to me:
Ode to Satine’s story of a romantic who lets her imagination take over at times, is one that I myself have related to and find entertaining. This element of the character’s imagination opens up an opportunity as a cinematographer to create surrealist looks that I don’t ordinarily find.
The shoot as a whole has been a great collaborative experience from all sides. It’s been great to work with the Directors Sylvie and Liz to help make it come to life on screen.
